America is aging: 65+ population on track to reach 82.1 million by 2050

The 65+ population is projected to grow from about 63.3m in 2025 to 82.1M by 2050; every boomer passes 65 by 2030, and CMS reports that seniors’ personal healthcare spending per person was about 2.4 times that of working-age adults in 2020. This is the one of the most durable demand drivers in healthcare construction.
